About Us
Flame Screen Limited was the brainchild of Graham Innes & Malcolm Stephenson, two irrepressible sailing enthusiasts who first met whilst working as ICT consultants for a government agency.
Their paths then crossed again when they were both asked to join a management re-organisation team for a fire risk assessment company and one idea led to another, and Flame Screen Limited was born.
The original idea to concentrate on the marine industry was taken after careful consideration of the current methodology of compiling and maintaining ship and yacht records, coupled with the movement within the various legislative bodies to have accurate, traceable records of all manner of vessel documentation and compliance certification, readily available for reference and evidence purposes.
To this end, Flame Screen Ltd have developed a secure, easily managed and accessible, safety inspired "Living Resource", which can be used to organise all of the day to day tasks associated with running a vessel in today’s legislation driven and dynamically responsive climate.

As both Graham and Malcolm hail from an ICT background, they are both very familiar with software development and in particular database design and functionality. Because of this knowledge, they have been able to pull together a strong team of specialists and experts in this area, in order to provide a very scaleable and secure solution which is also very user friendly.
The fire safety and risk assessment knowledge gained with a previous company, coupled with Graham’s time as a Director for a chemical manufacturing company, have led to the sourcing of an antimony free and non-brominated organophosphorus, non-hazardous flame retardant, which has passed the most stringent of IMO - FTP code tests.
Licensed partnerships with several cleaning and application specialists have now been implemented effectively extending our reach around the world.
